Something I made for a friend of mine. He said he'd pay for it and I knew I had to do it!
I'm very happy with it! I never thought it would look this good. Of course, I had to use grids to make the proportions look right. The time I used on this is about 32 hours!!! And my arm is aching all the way up to my shoulders
Feel free to leave a constructive comment, but let it be about the shading technique and not about differences between this and the original. Because believe me I know all the mistakes I have made with this one!
For anyone who wants to compare here's a link to the original [link]
I hope to upload an image with better quality later!
I like your use of pencil and its shading. I think that the blurry style is not bad. I have several works with the same technique and I don't understand why many people hate it.
In anyway your drawing is well done. That is a work done with affection is very noticeable.
Oh I new it was wery important to get the proportions right, because if you get one small detail wrong it can lead to bigger mistakes. Thank you for your kind words
Thank you very much! I'm not so sure if I like the blury effect that much, but it does look better in real life. I think some of the blurynes is a result of the cammera I was using. I'm trying to find a way to get a good quality picture of this, because I won't get the chanse to scan it before I give it away.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
